 In 2001, Wyndham became the first hotel company to offer high-speed wired and wireless Internet access across its branded hotels and resorts. Wyndham provides high-speed Internet access to guest rooms, and wireless Internet access to meeting rooms and public areas in more than 150 Wyndham properties in North America. Guests receive fast connections to the Ethernet network by using standard notebook computers equipped with either a standard or wireless Ethernet card.
Through the network, Wyndham guests and meeting attendees can use the Internet, send and receive e-mail and access corporate networks at speeds up to 50 times faster than standard modem connections.
