Some room reservations require a deposit; meaning that your credit card is charged at the time the reservation is made. You can change credit cards or transfer charges to another credit card at the hotel's front desk. The required deposit amount remains charged to the credit card number you've provided if the reservation is not cancelled by the date and time specified in the hotel's cancellation policy.
