Legal Requirements

Both bride and groom must apply for application together, in person. There is a three-day waiting period to receive a marriage license. Mandatory blood test results must be presented at the time of applications or license pick-up. The license is issued by the state and is good for 60 days and can be used in any Massachusetts town or city.
