Nassau enjoys a truly tropical climate, and even during the island's "winter." temperatures average in the mid 80s. Summer temperatures are 10 degrees warmer, although nights are cooled by the gentle trade winds that blow off the Caribbean waters. Most ceremonies are performed outdoors, followed by a reception in a nearby pavilion. Most couples prefer a casual Bahamian wedding that is classically elegant.

Weddings and honeymoons have a very special meaning at the Wyndham Nassau Resort, where our on-site Wedding Coordinator sees to every detail for the bride and groom, their wedding party and guests. The planning and execution is left to us so the happy couple can simply indulge in creating memories that will last a lifetime. We offer a wide range of wedding, vow renewal, reception and honeymoon specials and packages.

Ceremonies

Our Wedding Department will help make legal and ceremony arrangements, and secure your date for the ceremony. We work closely with local ministers and pastors, as well as rabbis, judges, and other officiates. We'll also help you choose the ideal location for your wedding ceremony.

Away from our resort, ceremony locations include The Cloisters on Paradise Island, the Botanical Gardens and the Cathedral in the center of town. Most couples choose one of our beautiful on-site locations: the Gazebo overlooking the ocean; a magnificent oceanside garden; an atrium wedding; or a beach location in our secluded Wyndham Cove.

Celebrations

Anything the bride can imagine is available. We have facilities to do a purely tropical wedding or classic Bahamian wedding with steel band and straw gifts for guests. An all-white wedding is beautiful against the backdrop of the ocean.

Our catering and decoration services provide exquisite food and drink, floor-length table cloths, chair covers, centerpieces, bridal arches and perimeter décor. A wide and diverse range of entertainment is available from a calypso band and limbo dancer to a jazz band, DJ or string quartet. Our signature restaurant, Sol Mare, offers dramatic ocean views and sumptuous Italian cuisine. The Black Angus provides an elegant candlelight atmosphere and world-renowned Black Angus beef specialties.
