Within walking distance from the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel are both Heinz Field, the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and PNC Park that plays host to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Or see the Penguins take the ice at the CONSOL Energy Center. Kids of all ages will love seeing another kind of penguin and all the exotic species at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. And if time permits, a trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater is not to be missed. - Andy Warhol Museum - warhol.org - 17 galleries on 7 floors display the works of Pittsburgh-born pop art icon Andy Warhol. This venue is the largest museum in the US dedicated to a single artist.
- Benedum Center for the Performing Arts - pgharts.org - Originally built in 1928 as a movie palace, it's now home to a vast array of live entertainment. See Broadway tours, comedy, ballet, concerts and more.
- Carnegie Museum of Art - cmoa.org - Industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie founded this museum in 1895. Today it is nationally and internationally recognized for its distinguished collection of American and European works from the 16th century to the present.
- Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts - pittsburghsymphony.org - This former Roaring Twenties movie palace is now a 2,676-seat hall that hosts about 200 performances annually. It's also home to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
- Pittsburgh Cultural District - culturaldistrict.org - This 14 square-block area is home to Downtown Pittsburgh's dynamic art and entertainment scene. Discover a multitude of choices for live entertainment -contemporary music, modern dance, visual art and thought-provoking theater, as well as classical music, opera, ballet, popular musical theater and more.
- Toonseum - toonseum.org - It's called a museum with characters for good reason, it's goal is to promote a deeper appreciation for cartooning. - David L. Lawrence Convention Center - pittsburghcc.com - This facility boasts 1.5 million square feet of conference, convention and exhibit space. Its breathtaking size is only rivaled by the structure itself, which sits on the shore of the Allegheny River.
- Duquesne Incline - duquesneincline.org - Scale Mt Washington in a quaint wooden cable car. It's one of the few remaining inclines in the US and it has run continuously since 1877. The summit offers spectacular views of downtown Pittsburgh.
- Fallingwater - fallingwater.org - Just about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh is what was perhaps the most famous private residence in the country. Conceived and created by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Kaufman family, this spectacular house is built over a waterfall and is among the Smithsonian's Life List of "28 Places to See Before You Die."
- Market Square - downtownpittsburgh.com/market-square - Located just two blocks from the hotel it offers a summer farmer's market and outdoor ice-skating in winter. Enjoy great restaurants and shopping all year long.
- Point State Park - This 36-acre park is located where the famous three rivers of Pittsburgh meet. Stand in one spot and see the mighty Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela rivers all at once! This lush urban park is found directly across the street from our hotel.
- Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium - pittsburghzoo.com - This 77-acre zoo is home to 4000 animals, including 20 on the threatened or endangered species. It originally opened in 1898 and is only one of six places in the US that boasts a major zoo and aquarium in a single location.

- Three Rivers Arts Festival - artsfestival.net - Each June since 1959 this festival has been held throughout downtown Pittsburgh and in Point State Park. See live performances, tour art galleries, browse the Artist Market, and more.
- Fourth of July Fireworks - threeriversregatta.net - Every year we celebrate our nation's independence with a bang. The fun centers around Point State Park and is capped off by a spectacular fireworks show. Best of all, the action is happening across the street from our hotel.
- EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta - threeriversregatta.net - This free family extravaganza offers fun both on the water and dry land. See Dragon Boat races, the "anything that floats" race, formula 1 boat racing and more. It all happens in the beginning of each July and is capped off by colorful Fourth of July fireworks. What's more, we are the official hotel for this spectacular event and the Pittsburgh Irish festival.
- Light Up Night - downtownpittsburgh.com/events - Every November Pittsburgh celebrates Light Up Night as a way to kick off the Winter holiday shopping season. Enjoy the fun as retailers stay open late, street vendors sell their wares and the city's sky scrapers keep their lights on throughout the night.
