Viva Wyndham Playa Dorada is located near two of the country's best courses, perfect for the beginner and serious golfer alike. Both 18-hole courses were designed by the famous golf course architect, Trent Jones, Sr. The first is located within walking distance of our resort, in the beautiful Playa Dorada complex. The other, Playa Grande, is just a little over an hour away. This course is considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean, most likely due to 10 of its holes running along ocean cliffs with magnificent views of the sea.

The Playa Dorada Golf Course
Conveniently located within the 250-acre Playa Dorada complex and resort area, the 18-hole Playa Dorada golf course is within walking distance of the Viva Wyndham Playa Dorada. This Robert Trent Jones-designed championship course is spread among the Playa Dorada Complex's resorts.

Playa Grande Golf Course
This course, one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean, offers 18 challenging holes played with caddies or carts, a nice casual restaurant, and spectacular ocean vistas. This breathtaking course features nine amazing holes on sea cliffs, overlooking Caribbean blue waters. The golf course is located in Rio San Juan Province, about 95km from Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata.
