- Daniel Boone Homestead - Take a step back in time and experience the life of 18th century settlers at this historic site where Daniel Boone was born and grew up. Immerse yourself in living history demonstrtions, hand-on activities, hiking trails, flint-lock shoots and more.
- Historic Joanna Furnace - A 19th Century Iron Furnace that is open for visitors to observe the operations the 3rd Saturday of every month, with a schedule of food, music, flea market, crafts, exhibits and car shows, as well as multiple Festival weekends throughout the year.
- Hawk Mountain - The world's first sanctuary for birds of prey, Hawk Mountain is the ideal outdoorsman destination, with 2600 acres including 8 miles of hiking trails, a Visitor Center and Mountain Bookstore, weekend lectures and programs, and of course the chance to see large numbers of hawks, eagles and falcons in all their glory.
- The Pagoda - Reading's world-famous pagoda, built in the style of a Shogun Dynasty battle castle, intrigued movie producer M. Night Shamayla to film part of his movie The Last Airbender, here.
