The catering professionals at The St. Anthony are highly experienced and can assist with wedding coordination from the first site visit to the cake cutting and toast. Our Wedding Coordinator and staff lavish individual attention on each couple and their guests. From the moment you contact us, we will focus on your every wish - accommodations for you and your guests, wedding location, ceremony, flowers, cuisine, an exquisite cake, music - to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams.

We take care of every detail, including contracting a photographer and/or videographer and coordinating officiator arrangements for you. Newlyweds stay relaxed, focused on each other and enjoy their special day at one of the Southwest's most spectacular and romantic locations. They may also direct you to some of the top designers in our area to create that special look for your special day.

With 352 fully renovated guest rooms, including 42 suites, The St. Anthony offers guests affordable luxury within walking distance of the Riverwalk. When you reserve rooms for friends and family, your out-of-town guests will appreciate the special group pricing. Honeymoon packages, including a suite with champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries, are available.

The St. Anthony has hosted second and third generation weddings. Additionally, we have welcomed couples back to celebrate their 25th, 50th and even 60th anniversaries. These celebrations are truly special. One of our unique traditions is to offer a guest suite to the couple at the same rate that was originally paid, providing that the couple can present the original guest room receipt.

Ceremonies

At The St. Anthony, we can perform intimate or large-scale public wedding ceremonies, indoors or outdoors. The Peraux and Anacacho Ballrooms, with their breathtaking French-style elegance and crystal chandeliers are ideal for glorious ceremonies. Our rooftop, open-air Starlight Terrace, domed by a star-filled Texas sky on a romantic evening, is also an ideal venue for a couple to pronounce their special wedding vows. Whether you desire an intimate ceremony for 20 guests or a grand ceremony for 400, The St. Anthony has the perfect setting to make the dream come true.

Ideally located, The St. Anthony is also surrounded by churches of every denomination, including two located just one block from the hotel. The famous San Fernando Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the United States, is located seven blocks from the hotel. The historic Southwest School of Arts and Crafts, with its lovely outdoor wedding gazebo, is a romantic venue to choose for your special wedding celebration. Transporting out-of-town guests and the wedding party by using San Antonio's famous trolleys will make the entire experience something to truly remember.

Celebrations

Imagine a celebration surrounded by the splendor of a bygone era. With over 20 event spaces, we have the perfect location for any size wedding celebration. The wedding professionals of The St. Anthony can assist you in planning a menu that would be perfect for your special day. Our culinary professionals are known for creating delicious and appealing works of art. We will also coordinate flowers and other decorative elements, as well as assist in contacting DJs, bands or any type of entertainment you wish.

Welcome guests with butlers passing hors d'oeuvres and/or cocktails served in our antique-filled Peacock Alley as a prelude to a formal dinner celebration, a sumptuous dinner buffet or an action-packed heavy hors d'oeuvres reception with a sushi station. Whatever your desires, The St. Anthony's culinary staff can create that special menu to make any bride's dream a reality.

From a rehearsal dinner or bridesmaid's high tea luncheon to a ceremony and reception for 400 guests, The St. Anthony has the perfect location to make your event one to truly remember. Our lovely locations include:

Anacacho Ballroom
The Anacacho ballroom has a lovely welcoming foyer graced with a beveled French doorway and mirrors that lead into the majestic ballroom. Graced with two sweeping staircases leading to a balcony that overlooks the main floor, the Anacacho Ballroom boasts a permanent stage reminiscent of a boutique opera house. The crystal chandeliers and sconces give this San Antonio jewel a breathtaking aura, as it did in the 1930s and 40s when it hosted live big band radio shows broadcasting nationwide. This room will comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests with a dance floor. Combined with the Peraux room, we can accommodate up to 450 guests.

Peraux Room
Located off our main lobby, this room also has beautiful gold and crystal Empire-style chandeliers that offer a warm glow. With a dance floor, the Peraux room is the perfect location for up to 100 guests.

The Georgian and St. Anthony Club Ballroom
The Georgian and St. Anthony Club Ballroom was once "the private club" of San Antonio and Texas society. This ballroom, graced with brass and crystal chandeliers and sconces, is perfect for a group up to 120 guests.

Starlight Terrace
The Starlight Terrace is the best-kept secret in San Antonio. Located on the tenth floor of the hotel, this Spanish, open-air hacienda-style ballroom has a stage, full working bar and air-conditioned bathrooms for the convenience of your guests. This romantic venue can comfortably host a rehearsal dinner for 30 guests as well as a buffet reception for 200.

Madrid Room
Our signature restaurant, the Madrid Room, recently voted the most popular restaurant in San Antonio, can serve as an elegant backdrop for a romantic and intimate party. Whether the celebration is for a party of two or 500 guests, we have exquisite cuisine and impeccable service to make your occasion an unforgettable event.
