The rain forest on one side and the glittering ocean on the other – this is what they call sitting pretty.
Be awed. At the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa the only thing rivaling the views here is the pampering we offer. Our lush, 500-acre, beach-front property borders both the Puerto Rico rain forest and two spectacular golf courses. There are too many ocean views to mention, but let's just say even our pool has an ocean view. With a AAA Four Diamond rating and 25% of our staff still working here since we opened in 1996, you just know we really understand how to care for our guests. From the moment you turn onto our mile and half long cobblestone drive, you'll realize you're someplace special. Pack your swimsuit but leave your passport at home. Puerto Rico is part of the United States, so no special documents are required.

Atlantic beach, Balinese massage and a Vegas-style casino. Suddenly, the world is at your door.
We love our island, but remember there's a lot to do right on the property. Start the day with some sailing or a ride on a wave runner, then play a little tennis or golf, go for a swim on our secluded beach, and cap off the night playing roulette or poker. Best of all, it's just steps from your door. When you're ready to truly relax, head to your ocean-view or rain-forest-view guestroom, with private outdoor space. Or have a Caribbean Coffee Body Scrub in our own Mandara Spa. Seven restaurants and four bars mean something tasty or icy cold is never far away. For those who must work, we also have a well-equipped Business Center. It's the perfect place for finishing a report, printing a boarding pass or just checking email. Anyone planning a professional gathering or stylish wedding will be sure to appreciate our customizable event space with ocean-view garden.
Water that glows in the dark – and historic lighthouses. Puerto Rico certainly has its bright points.
Puerto Rico translates to "rich port," and our island is certainly rich with things to do. The scuba diving and snorkeling are amazing here. Colorful fish and coral are always wonderful to explore. Tour the rain forest on horseback, ATV or mountain bike. The island is dotted with lighthouses and the remains of two Spanish forts, which are not to be missed. Perhaps the most spectacular adventure is to kayak in the bioluminescent bay, with water that lights up when it's touched. It's an experience you'll never forget. Of course, we also have great shopping – it's the perfect way to experience Old San Juan. It's nice to know we're only 17 miles from the San Juan Airport.
