China National Silk Museum

Baochu Pagoda
First built in the year 968 AD, it was so named to bless Qian Chu, king of the Wuyue Kingdom, with Hangzhou as its capital.

West Lake Scenic Area
The West Lake originated from a shallow bay in ancient times, where the Qiantang River ran into the sea. It was formerly named Wulin Waters, Golden Buffalo Lake, Qiantang Lake and Xizi Lake, and as it lies west of Hangzhou, it was later renamed the West Lake.

Xixi National Wetland Park
As a rare urban wetland and China's only national wetland park, this park features rich ecological resources, simple natural landscapes and combines urban life, farming and culture.



Hangzhou Tower
This department store has higher end products than In Time, and there are certainly fewer people, so it is a relaxing place to shop. There are cosmetics on the first floor, along with shoes and the remaining floors are full of brand-name clothes, shoes, bags, and more.

In Time Department Store
This is the most popular department store in town. While Hangzhou Tower has most of the better labels, you can also find some of the same stores at In Time as well as lots of brand-name cosmetics, watches, shoes, clothes, and more.

Jiefang Road Modern Commercial Street
Though this was the busiest commercial area in the 1990s, Jiefang Road nowadays is keeping a lower profile as the Wulin commercial area thrives.

International Cartoon & Animation Festival
Subsidized by the Chinese government, the festival is intended to establish Hangzhou as the comics and animation capital of China. Many comics and animation companies are already based in Hangzhou and Zhejiang province has many different kinds of factories and production facilities. They produce many of China's comics and cartoons – and all the merchandise related to it.

Spring Festival Temple Fair in Song Town
Temple Fair is a traditional institution in China and the Spring Festival Temple Fair held in Song Dynasty Town begins on the 1st day through the 15th day of the first lunar month.

West Lake Expo
First launched in 1929, this is renowned as a famous international expo, similar to the "Chicago Expo 1893, the "Paris Expo 1900" and the "Philadelphia Expo 1927."

Wushan Temple Fair
As an important part of the 9th West Lake Expo, the 2007 Wushan Temple Fair was held on October 21, 2007, in Wushan Square. For nine days, the Temple Fair presented a series of folk-custom activities including the 10,000 lovers' tryst, the pictorial exhibition on the history of long-established enterprises, Wushan flower fair, the local snack carnival, and more. The Temple Fair reminded tourists of their childhood and enabled them to feel the true flavor of Hangzhou.
