“Terrible room service”

The Jacuzzi water temp was tepid at best, the food mediocre, and the service from room service was horrid! It took over and hour and a half to get two crappy sandwiches. When I contacted the front desk (in person), the person behind the counter bristled at the idea that I would be complaining to him about the lack of service. When I returned to my room, after being promised that the issue would be resolved, I got a phone call from the kitchen wanting to know why I would complain. When I explained my frustration at having to wait so long for a couple of sandwiches, the kitchen staff seemed irritated that I was complaining about the speed of service, but was assured that they were ABSOLUTELY working on our order...shortly after the conversation ended, the kitchen called back to ask what we had ordered in the first place! Once I repeated my order, the kitchen staff simply hung up the phone. After about a half hour of waiting (it's been over 2 hours for a couple of stupid sandwiches, and it is now near 11pm) room service finally arrived and informed us that the hotel had "graciously" given us a 15% discount on the order. Look Wyndham...you're an American hotel, you should (independent of the hotel's location) be very familiar with American preferences and sensibilities. First off, move quickly on a guests request! Second, DON'T LOSE THE DAMN ORDER!! And finally, when a guest makes a complaint, it isn't acceptable for you to insert your excuses or become irritated that there is a complaint!!! All of the care, decorum, presentation, smiling faces, clean rooms, amenities, and quality of the food won't mean a damn thing if you can't understand the golden rule of customer service: The Customer is ALWAYS right and should be catered to. Especially at a Wyndham hotel.
