Altos De Chavón
This replica of a 16th century Spanish Colonial village is located above the Chavón River. It was built in 1978 by Italian set designer Roberto Copa. Wander down the charming cobblestone streets and visit the amphitheater, museum and art shops.

St. Georges Barge
This sunken ship just off Bayahibe is now a diving site, featuring a natural protected habitat teeming with coral reefs and plant life. Inquire about scuba diving excursions and glass bottom boat trips.
For turquoise, green and blue waters, and powder-white sand, head to this tropical island and protected sanctuary. Here, spot abundant plant and marine life, such as turtles, whales and sharks.
Bayahibe Coral Reef

Cueva Fun Fun
Located in the western province of Hato Mayor is the largest cave in the Caribbean. The site is accessible by horseback from Rancho Capote.
The National Park of the East
Nature resort and major archaeological center filled with beautiful dry forests, and over 112 species of birds, including the black-crowned oriole and red-legged thrush. Visiting this attraction is best on guided tours or organized excursions.
A mile and a half off the mainland, this tropical island is one of the few places to see very large fish, like grouper. On the shallower dive off the island discover an abundance of beautiful purple sea fans; orange, brown and gray gardens and a variety of spectacular multi-colored, fluorescent fish.
