“Don't use Reward Points Here and Don't Expect Customer Service”

Very dissapointed! I used reward points, so thought I would be taken care of. However, both my boyfriend and I feel we were treated subpar. The room I requested was not what was reserved. I specifically asked for a room with a view when I made the reservation. I made it clear I would even pay additional money if that was required to upgrade the room. Of course the hotel was completely booked and they would not be able to correct the problem the first night. The only consolation given to us was that we could check back tomorrow (in the middle of trying to enjoy our vacation) to see if another room had become available. When I did so, they found us a room and I was required to tote all our bags down to the lobby and wait. Mind you I had a 6 year old and an 11 year old with me as well as my boyfriend and myself. The staff was less than helpful or accomodating. When we finally got switched to our new room we thought we could recover the rest of our vacation, however we discovered that the sliding glass door handle was broken and that night the ac made a horrible loud noise all night starting around 10pm! If I left it on, everyone kept waking up. However, if I turned it off we all were laying in a pool of sweat! So, I got NO sleep all night! The answer from the staff downstairs? Barely even an apology and no compensation in any way! The worst Customer Service! At the very least for the hotels error, and room malfuctions I expected at least a discount on my stay. Would you pay for a room you couldn't sleep in?? The view was not worth the hassle!
