“Dirty Bedding in 2 rooms! Rude and will NEVER go back!”

 
The property was beachfront, you had to cross a little beach street to get to the beach but you were right there. I paid extra for a beachfront room with a balcony.. there is no balcony.. it is a very small ledge but a great view. The room has been updated and is very cute, nice bathrooms. Here is where my review goes bad. We had noticed a few gnats and crawling little bugs on the table, by the tv and on the night stand. We stay beachfront when ever we travel so to find a few gnats or little crawlers is kind of normal. However, When we pulled the sheets down, we found Many bugs, a couple dead a couple alive, food crumbs, staines on sheets and the pillow cases. This is something we have NOT ever seen! This was on BOTH bedding. We called down to the front desk and they had someone come and move our stuff to another room. As soon as we moved in our luggage, we turned down the bedding just to make sure we were safe. There were MORE bugs, crumbs and stains on BOTH of these beds. We found two dead bugs on the outside of one bed. Floors were NOT clean either. We just rolled our luggage down stairs. The lady at the front desk said, maybe it was coming from our luggage. I was so shocked! I told her besides the fact our luggage had been on the floor the entire time in both rooms and we had not even laid in the beds, she needed to come up with a better excuse. I asked for our $$ back because they made me pay UP FRONT since I was paying cash. She couldn't get my $ since it was locked in the safe. SO at 11:00 pm with two very tired kids we were homeless and out hotel money. We were out until 1:00 am finding a hotel that was NOT booked (spring break) I then had to come back in the morning to get all my $ back. Was treated very poorly, had eyes rolled at me and I didn't do anything wrong. I could have made such a huge production but I am not like that. We did eat at the restaurant before the nightmare. The restaurant was delish and they were very kind!
