“Nice Hotel, but needs better transportation to the parks...”

The title of my review says it all. This is a very nice hotel. When we arrived, it was too early to check in (4:00 PM check-in). However, they can register you as arriving and reserve a room for you. We registered at 2:00 PM and requested a room on a higher floor, away from the elevators and on the side of the hotel with the view of the fireworks. We had a room on the 8th floor reserved (ON HOLD). We went to a park and received a call on our cell that our room was ready at 4:30 PM. When we returned at 7:00 PM, I checked in at the front desk and was informed that our room was on the 5th floor. After explained to Elizabeth that we had already had an 8th floor room reserved with our specific requests. She apologized and stated that a HOLD on a room can be overridden. Then what's the purpose of reserving or holding a room for someone??? She was very polite and corrected the room reservation. We were placed on the 8th floor with our specifications. The shuttles to the Disney parks is not adequate for such a large and prestigious establishment. The shuttles are outsourced to a local company that should be replaced. The times to travel to and from the parks are not frequent enough. We had one experience on a return from Magic Kingdom where my son ran up ahead to let the shuttle driver know that the rest of the family was coming within a minute. The driver stated okay. When my son started to walk toward us to inform us. The shuttle driver drove away. Real professional... The hotel needs to drop that company.
