“Customer Service”

Upon our check in, we come to find that we have an extra set of bunk beds in our King Suite for our anniversary. When we called the Front Desk, there was no apology for the misunderstanding, just an overexaggerated "We upgraded you to the Family Suite!" We were not happy, so we requested a room change. Though the staff said there were no available room, one was found in less than the five minute walk it took us to get to the lobby. We were handed our new keys by a less than friendly Catering Sales Manager, who did not explain to us anything that had transpired. Later that night, we return to the hotel after an exhausting adventure and my boyfriend follows a cockroach out of the bathroom. We called down to the Front Desk staff and all they offer us is for a servicer to come and "spray". This was not acceptable and we request yet another room change. We were told there was no manager on staff for the evening, which I found terribly hard to believe. Five minutes later, we recieve a call from a manager who still, does not greet us with an immediate apology, but lets us know there are no more rooms to offer. Yet again, in the five minutes it took us to get down to the lobby, there was a new room found. A twin standard for the two of us. Not acceptable, but at this point, it was 2 in the morning, and we'd sleep on just about anything to get some rest. We get up to the new room and realize, the key doesn't work. Not just the key, the whole locking mechanism does not work. A servicer (our same bug sprayer) comes to fix the lock. After about a half hour of working on the lock, there is still no result. At this point, we lock ourselves in the room and don't even care about having a key. We found sleep and woke up the next morning to complain to a more understanding manager and finally find our apology we were looking for. Not that it eliminates any of the headache we experienced, but it's just the quality of customer service that was offered. It was awful.
