“My stay at the Wyndham started out nice enough. Adrian was...”

My stay at the Wyndham started out nice enough. Adrian was at the desk when I checked in, I was very early for check in and he was able to expedite the cleaning of my room so I could get in faster. He supplied me with a list of nearby restaurants and recommendations for things for me to do while I was waiting. When I got to my room, my key didn't work, after 3 sets of keys, maintainance was called and William came to fix the lock. He was very polite and seemed proficient. We met again 2 days later, when the lock broke again, but he was fast and got me into my room again. Our housekeeper, Tina was also really polite and did a nice job on our room. I was nothing but impressed with the staff at Wyndham, eventhough the property left some things to be desired, until I met "Manny" at the desk. He was rude and abrupt with me as well as with the staff in front of the guests. He reprimanded me loudly and very rudely in the lobby which was full of people because I did not 'check in' after I utilized the hotel shuttle. Telling me that I must check in because it is 'very serious business' and I cannot just mess up his count. It is not serious business, it is a hotel shuttle and the people using it should know how to get back to the hotel. And what about the people who use a taxi service instead of waiting 30 minutes to be picked up? I found this very offensive considering I paid to stay in a hotel with a broken hot tub, leaky toilets, and locks that worked when they wanted to. On the second occasion my key didn't work, he didn't speak to me directly except to say "go up there and wait for him" then he got on the radio and started yelling at William. Another day when we used the shuttle, he started herding my family and I onto the shuttle 15 minutes before it was supposed to leave we asked if we were leaving early he said no, but lets wait out there. He got rather agitated when I refused to have my family sit in a van for no reason. We waited in the lobby. All in all this hotel was average, but I would definitely pay a little more to stay at the embassy suites across the street if I ever returned to the location.
