“Pretty Good for its Price”

I chose the hotel for its location and price. For this its probably the best deal. The stay didn't start off well though as when I arrived Friday night it was busy and they didn't have the room I reserved. I'm not sure how hard it is to run a booking system that actually reserves you what you choose, but this is not a first for any hotel. There wasn't much I could say, I wasn't checking in early and the desk clerk didn't say why there was the mistake. After she saw my displeasure she did offer free parking for my stay. Luckily this was something I was planning to use, so it helped. Then I had parked around the corner as I didn't know where the entrance was, so she told me to stop in front and bring my stuff up since the garage was not connected to the hotel. But then the entrance was full and security told me I couldn't stop where there was a spot as that's where the cabs needed to come. He told me to leave my stuff and he'd watch it while I went to park. Well he wasn't waiting for it, so I left it hoping it'd be fine, then when I returned they had locked it up and acted like I shouldn't have left it there. After that first night (and impression) the staff was much nicer when I went in and out of the hotel.The only other issues was my room. It wasn't terrible, but it's location meant I was right by the elevator, drink machine and the staff closet, which was all very noisy. Not sure if the type of room I actually reserved would have been in a better location.Otherwise the room was fine. Nothing fancy. The room didn't have central heating though and the heater by the window was quite noisy so I let it run until it was warm enough, then had to shut it off to sleep.I also tried to call room service once and no one answered the phone. I did go down and they let me buy a couple beers to take to my room, though quite overpriced.
