Located directly across from the Wyndham Duisburger Hof hotel in central Duisburg, Theatre Duisburg is one of two opera houses that host performances by the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Much of the original structure (c. 1912) was destroyed during World War II, and the facility was rebuilt in 1950. Other popular performances here come from the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra - a historic musical group, regarded as one of the great, traditional German orchestras.
