“Unhappy Wyndham Owner”

  , San Antonio
My husband made reservation for 05/09 - 05/13. Arrived at the hotel at 1215am on Friday morning. They couldn't find our reservations for 05/09 only the one for 05/10-05/13. The clerk looked under the confirmation # and my husbands name, still no luck. We explained to the clerk Rebecca that we will be using our rewards points. She call the rewards department and was told the reservations was put under my maiden name even though my husband made the reservations and he's on the account. So we were able to check in our room a King Suite with a microwave and refrigerator. The room they gave us looked more like a regular room, over stuffed with furniture minus the microwave and refrigerator. The chair and the carpet was stained. Called the front desk and spoke with Rebecca and informed herabout the room. She moved us to another King Suite on another floor. Now this was to our satisfaction, niceeeeee.. They could at least dust the top of the head boards, other than that the room was nice. Didn't get to sleep until approx. 0300 just to be woken up at 0900 from drilling and banging due to the construction taking place. I called the front desk and was informed that construction was be done on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The noise sounded like it was in the room above us. The noise lasted until approx. 1800. My husband talked to the Engineering and Wyndham supervisor on duty. They were apologetic and informed us that construction will also be taking place on Saturday, but not until 10:00am. When we made the reservations we were gauranteed by someone at Wyndham that we would not be inconvenienced by the contruction in anyway. Well we see that wasn't true. On Saturday didn't hear the noise fron the construction until approx 10:00am it was faint and tolerable. 4 kids running and yelling around the dining area unsupervised like they were on the play ground. Sunday was noise frree. On Monday the water was turned off around 0915. I called the front desk to find out what was going on they said there was an emergency on one of the floors so they had to turn the water off. They offered to let us use the shower in another room if needed. After we complained to the the Wyndham staff about the inconveniences during our stay nothing was done just apologies were given. They were willing to let us move to another hotel for more money out of our pockets. Seems as though the only way you get excellent service is if you stay at the Wyndham Resorts.
