“Not on my list of places to stay!”

I arrived at the hotel late on a Monday evening and was impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the front desk clerk. I was even more impressed with the size of the room, it was huge! Little did I know that I had been put in the middle of a group of restaurant employees that arrived back to the hotel from work about 11PM. For the next 2 hours, they were running up and down the hall, slamming doors and having themselves a good old time. I've been in hotels with high school cheerleaders that didn't make this much noise. I reported the noise to the front desk and thought that would take care of it, no such luck, I called again. The noise would subside for 15 min or so and then they were back at it. I ended up going down to the front desk and they apologized and offered to put me in another room. I went with only the clothes on my back. The room was quiet except for a noisy air conditioner that kept me awake. After an hour or so I went back to my original room, thankfully the noisy guests had passed out. I stayed in the same room the next night and had no issues that I remember. On the third night, same as the first. I did not call the front desk, I got dressed (at 1:45am) and was immediately put in another room which is where I stayed for the remainder. I fault the management of this hotel for not dealing with their rowdy guests. I stayed during the week (Mon-Fri), so the weekend was not even an issue. Not once did anyone in authority speak to me about my experience, so the only conclusion I can draw from that is they just don't care. I was on company business and this was the hotel recommended by my client, I did discuss my experience with him. When I checked out they did take 30.00 off my bill, I told them it was a nice gesture, but how do you compensate someone for lost sleep? Besides, my client was picking up the tab anyway. I am a very seasoned business traveler (22 yrs, approx. 150 nights/year in hotels) and can count the number of times I've had hotel issues on the fingers of one hand, this one was beyond ridiculous.
