“Beautiful views!”

  , Lake Forest, California, Usa
The bed was very comfortable, and the room overall was well laid out and attractive. I really appreciated the in-room fridge and the ipod charging dock/alarm clock, too. The view from my room was spectacular. Also, another little bonus: the windows in the rooms do open a little. It was snowing when I went, and as a Californian who doesn't experience snow very often, it was fun to crack the window open and see some tiny little snowflakes come into the room. The bathroom was very nice, my only complaint there was that it had one of those overhead "rain" shower heads, which I'm not a fan of. They're so large, and the water has to spread out over such a large area that the water pressure seems much lower. It's harder to get shampoo out of your hair with pressure like that. Also, if you're hoping to take a quick shower to wash your body and face but not get your hair wet--good luck. It's basically impossible. I know some people like those shower heads and would see it as a bonus, but I'm not a fan.My room, 1616, was right next to the elevators, which was unfortunate. It wasn't super loud (I've had MUCH worse), but you could hear the "ding" of the bell pretty clearly whenever someone would push the button to call the elevator. It's loud enough that you notice it when you're awake, but it never woke me up at night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was great: right on the river, within easy walking distance of the downtown/college area and the area north of the river, which had some good restaurants (try La Madia -- so good!). Overall, I would be very happy to stay here again.
