“I had some challenges with Wyndham during my recent stay...”

  , White Plains
I had some challenges with Wyndham during my recent stay. 1) I had requested 2 double beds when I made the reservation. I even emailed to confirm that I had 2 double beds. I received email confirmation. When I arrived, I had 1 king bed and the front desk said they would not be able to transfer me.2) the mini fridge was not working properly. It was probably only a few degrees cooler than the room itself. They did replace the mini fridge upon request, so that did work out in the end.3) Front desk said they were unable to store my ice pack in the hotel kitchen freezer. I have never had any other hotel give me a problem with this. Recently, I made the same request to double tree and Marriot (both also had mini fridges in the room) and both of these hotel chains accomodated my request to store freezer packs in the kitchen freezer.I am a nursing mother and I must pump breastmilk during business trips. Not having adequate means to store breastmilk or freezer packs at the hotel was EXTREMELY difficult and made my trip very challenging. Luckily, I had a friend in the area and was able to store some at her home. I will not always be this lucky in future business travel. I feel hat Wyndham discriminates against breastfeeding women. I need to let other working moms know about this so they don't encounter the same issue. I ended up having to throw out some of the my breastmilk. If you know any breastfeeding mothers, it's very difficult to have to throw out this "liquid gold" ... I didn't invent this phrase ... it's a common phrase in breastmilk websites and groups. 4) My toilet was clogged and overflowed. Maintenance fixed it quickly (great!) and housekeeping also came. It's a good thing I was in the room. Housekeeping was not planning to disinfect the floors. According to her, since the floor was dry and "clean" looking, it didn't need it. I asked her to please disinfect the floor since water from an overflowing toilet is not sanitary and can contain fecal matter. She did disinfect the bathroom and didn't give me any problems ... the issue is that she should have known to do this. The fact that this wasn't protocol makes me question the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of your rooms. In addition, the water seeped into the carpet and the housekeeping person just gave me a bunch of towels to throw on the floor. Not an ideal solution. A wet vac and additional disinfection / cleaning is the service I would have expected.
