“1st Time Customer”

Service was great. Staff was very professional, pleasant and helpful. I would like to commend the gentleman who checked me in - please look up his name - his work was nothing short of excellent and I feel he's an asset to your operation and should be flagged for promotion/higher responsibility. Parts of hotel ops needed attention - almost all vending machines were out of order - restaurant food was not up to par esp. given the price, and portions were tiny - furniture in room was in disrepair and room was clean enough but could have been better. "Business Centers" were lacking - they were really just a PC w Printer (both printers were out of paper and one of the PCs had a virus messing up the interface - I understand that's a function of having the PCs open to so many users though). Shuttle frequency and logistics need more work - shuttle not a reliable/dependable/timely/efficient way of getting around. Shuttle driver needs info that he receives from front desk to be printed via computer - he was forced to work off of handwritten notes - scribble in some cases - that was given to him on his form. That made it tough for him to decipher what his itinerary/destinations/# & names of passengers, etc. were. Shuttle driver himself, however, was great, hard working, professional/pleasant and really tried hard, esp. to work with the mish mosh of notes he was given. Breakfast buffet was not very efficient - I assume most guests are in a big rush in the morning and the logistics/setup made it tough to get a good meal quickly - the made-to-order omelet station is a nice idea but way too slow to be practical for most from a time standpoint - within a few minutes of breakfast opening, appx 20 people had placed omelet orders and the wait was excessively long - its a nice offering from the hotel however, particularly for some families I saw at the hotel - my recommendation is to offer some chafing dishes with maybe three basic hot foods - eg scrambled eggs, home fries and some vegetable - keep it simple, neutral and fast - and by neutral I mean no onions, garlic etc - there was a dish with hot potatoes available but the smell of tons of garlic hit you. Room was very spacious with great layout and atrium was beautiful. Overall cost (corp rate $100) was a great value. I would definitely stay again, esp. given the great service, but rooms need a furniture upgrade, overall ops eg broken things, need to be payed more attention to, and shuttle ops need to be 100%
