“Poor business pratice, Terrible customer service”

After reserving and paying for a room 3 weeks in advance, we drive 8 hours to find no rooms available. If there were issues they knew about, why couldn't we be contacted in advance. instead we arrive to find 10 other groups also trying to check in. The front desk acted unconcerned and then wanted to put us in a Comfort Suites, at our cost. If i wanted a Comfort Suites room I would have made reservations there. After an hour of arguing with the front desk that their suggestion was unacceptable, they found a one bed suite for my wife and grand-daughter. We had paid for a two bed suite. The dining options were poor at best, and definately over-priced for what was offered. As far as recreational activities go, the first night that we stayed, the swimming pool was warmer than most whirlpool/hot tubs, and the actual hot tub scalded my feet. Windows surrounding the pool area were broken with glass on the floor area. The second night, the pool was cold and the hot tub was barely warm. We tried to speak to the hotel general manager who tried to talk over everything as being mild inconviences and wanted us to stay there again. NOT HAPPENING! We then tried to speak to corporate about our stay, gave us a company resolution number and date. The action taken, an email from the general manager giving us a discount on our nest stay. DON'T THESE PEOPLE LISTEN, WE WILL NOT STAY HERE EVER AGAIN!Several years ago we stayed at another Wyndham resort. Wonderfully experience. Obviously something in Wyndham's mindset has taken priority over customer satisfaction. Why else would they take money for reservations, deny availability of the room paid for, then try to send us to a much lesser rated chain-hotel, only to be given a room that was less than what was paid for?
