“Review of Business stay”

The service was poor starting with arrival. I was 1 of 7 staying as a group on a business trip with meetings. Upon arrival, the other 6 guests checked in their rooms. I was told my room was not ready. I asked if there was other room outside the block available. None was available. During the course of the afternoon, I asked on status on room. Answer was always room not available. meanwhile my wife and I sat in the lobby area waiting. After 3 hours and now 4:30 I asked again and was told there was a room available in another building. Answering that we were part of a business group and wishing to stay with group as the clerk stated upon arrival, the answer was none in the same buidling was available. I asked for a manager and explained the situation/my displeasure to him. He immediately/miraclously came up with a room in the same buidling with my group. After all that wait there was a room available! The room is outdated and needs refurbishment, Rugs are stained and thread bare. There were no hangars and I had to asked for some to be sent to the room. We had a business dinner scheduled/booked for the following evening (18 people).Upon arrival for dinner, the maitre de was not aware of the reservation and the room was not ready. The manager and staff corrected the problem. Food quality was minimally satisfactory, delivered luke warm to cold. Another totally bad experience. Internet connectivty for ipads/iphones is limited to lobby area only. I have stayed at Bay Point on at least ten previous occasions. My stays were always great. It is very sad to see such deterrioration of the facility and service. I will never stay there again and will most certainly pass my comments to my business & government counterparts in the area.
