“First time staying at the Wyndham”

  , Calgary
Only stay one night, had stayed at another resort for a week. I have been to Cabo about 15 times and always wanted to try the Wyndham. The location is excellent especially if you so not have a car. The room we stayed in was very clean. People have to realize a place being old does not mean it is dirty. We where allowed to check in a hour early and check out a hour late. This is just a minor issue. We had gone to the hotel in the middle of the week to book a room. We were given a quote of $138 including the tax, breakfast and a room facing the Marnia. I was going to pay for it but was told, that just to come back on Saturday and there would be no problem with getting a room. When we came back on Saturday they told us it was $148. We mentioned that we were quoted $138. and the gentlemen at the counter start telling us what it included. Which by the way was the same as what we were told during the week just a different price. It was only $10 but just wanted to mention it.They were doing repair work around the pool. Which I understand that things need to be repaired, so I did not have a issue.. What did bother me is the price of the drinks at the pool. $9 for a Miami Vice, which I found out after I paid for 3 for myself and sister. The next day we arrived early to the pool. The bar was not opened at the pool yet. So I went and picked up bottle water we had in our room. After I returned the the bar staff was arriving. They approached me and said that we were not allowed to bring water to the pool. I mentioned to them that I understood that bringing outside alcohol was not allowed, but Water? He said they have to make money and that they sell water.
