“Keep your expectations low”

I was disappointed with this hotel almost immediately. We arrived for check-in after 9PM and had to wait at the front desk for about 1/2 hr because they weren't sure the room was ready???Check-in time is listed as 4PM. When we got up to the room the first thing I noticed was garbage in both the trash can and the recycling bin. Pretty sure they are suppose to empty those between guests. The floor was clearly not vacuumed either- there was an obvious piece of red plastic or candy in the middle of the floor. The alarm clock in the room was off by 42 minutes and could not be reset. The drain in the shower quickly backed up. Gross. In terms of privacy, this was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The walls were paper thin to the point that we could hear the little boy in the next room talking to his mother. The sink in the bathroom was so poorly designed there was no way to avoid getting water all over the counter when you washed your hands. The faucet was either too small or it was positioned too far back from the basin. There was no make-up mirror in the room, not too surprising considering there was no refrigerator either. No free continental breakfast. Also have to gripe about having to pay to park at a hotel that I am already paying to stay in. I understand that the hotel is located in the city and that if parking were free no one would ever get a spot, but you can issue swipe cards to those staying in the hotel. This hotel was pricey for what you get-which is the bare minimum. They could at least let you park for free.
