“Great Location...but too many blunders....”

We chose the Wyndham for the location. I normally stay at the Westin or Shearton hotels but they are out on the road between Cabo and San Jose. We arrived early before the 3 PM checkin time. I asked if we could checkin and wait for our rooms...she said no...I insisted why not do the paperwork now and will come back and pickup the room keys at 3 PM. Finally she said OK...I gave her my credit card for incidentals, I had booked and paid for the room thru Travelocity. So we went and had lunch out and came back at 3...picked up our key cards and they took us to our room...no problem. We had marina view top floor...the room is a bit small but has very nice covered deck...also the bed was very comfortable. We went to the pool and when we got there they asked for our towel cards. Sorry we did not receive any...finally they gave us towels and said they would call the front desk. We found some loungers, there aren't very many but there are love seats and beds available...dipped in the pool ordered drinks. Pool is OK. When we were ready to leave and ask for the check...I of course said add it to our room...they said sorry...you did not leave a credit card for the pool bar..WHAT! Yes I did...sorry no you have to have a voucher or something...went to my room and got cash to pay them...we never returned. So we get back to the room and go to use the internet...no way to connect and charge to the room so I call the front desk...by the way there are ants all over the phone and night stand, the front desk says you must come down to the desk to arrange it...uggh! Ok down at the desk...I have to buy for separate cards with passwords for 4 devices (2 rooms/4 people) only $36 for 3 days...not a bad deal...well the internet only worked sometimes and was so slow it would not load facebook...the next morning we go to the free breakfast that is included...it was only OK...at the end of the meal I get presented with a bill for 800 pesos for breakfast. I say the meal is included...they say yes but you need to sign it and of course tip..OK tip is no problem but I don't like signing for an 800 peso breakfast that I might have to fight about at the front desk. I sign it. We go then to Mango deck for the day...nice time...come back to the hotel and we are just not comfortable and the internet connection is worse...sigh...the next morning we check out a day early...even though it paid for and move to the Shearton Hacienda del Mar. They don't ask why I am leaving early..
