“Front desk in need of training”

The Hotel was beautiful though the rooms were on the small size and their smart chair is mostly a waste of space and their money unless the guest is just going to sit in the room and watch TV or on their laptop. The front desk isn't very helpful unless you ask them a direct question. IE: Our first night we had a little to much to drink and we wanted to go to the improv to get a few laughs in so we went to the from desk explained our situation and were directed to take a Taxi ($20 + tip r/t) The next day we wanted to go to the Rock and Roll hall of fame so asked the valet to get our car and he suggested their shuttle. I was then told it would have taken us to the improv also last night which would have saved us time and money (way to go front desk). We were also informed the Hotel has a POOL and sauna and hot tub but for us it was to late we were checking out WHY not inform your guest when checking in about your services. I understand the Hilton is not to far from this Hotel and though it's not on the theater block they will take you and pick you back up. I love Hilton Wyndham not so much as the staff here at the front desk doesn't seem to really care they are just going thourgh the motions OH and last weekend they were power washing the front and the contractor didn't set up a tarp to cover the Front side of the entrance so as you are waiting for a cab, your car you get wet. Management had to be aware to this mainly because front desk has a window to the outside that was getting washed and the window was also. As I stated lack of consideration for the Guests and at over $100. per night you would think you would get a little better respect. The maids and the doormen/car people were fantastic. the restaurant was an OK experience. and the beds at the Hilton are so much better not that I've stayed in the Cleveland one but in other areas in different states they are all great .
