“Poor Customer Service for this Location”

When booking online via the Wyndham Rewards website, I selected a NON-smoking room for 4 nights. I followed the website's request and prepaid for the 4 nights against my better judgement. Upon arrival, they did not have a NON-smoking room instead tried to convince me that had requested a smoking room. When I produced a printout of the Wyndham Rewards confirmation page, the person at the front desk then changed the story to blame the wyndham website by saying "they should not have allowed you to do that as we have been sold out of non smoking rooms for days." I stayed the night in the smoking room as it was late and I was tired. I did not get a good night's sleep as thesmell of stale smoke triggered my allergies and made it difficult to breathe. I was able to get a room change that day. the stay seemed to take an upturn, the room was clean and no smell of smoke. My next problem occured when I had to check out a day early. The front desk person told me they would allow an early check out so I collected my things and proceeded to the front desk to close out my bill. It was then that the front desk employee said that because I used travelocity and they were a 3rd party, I would have to work with them for the refund of the extra day. I again showed my paperwork that I had used Wyndham Rewards. The front desk employee again attempted to push the blame to Wyndham stating they are a 3rd party and are not associated with the hotel and I would have to work on a refund from them. Upon calling Wyndham Rewards I was told the hotel was in fact responsible for the refund. I was giving a confirmation number for the compliant Wyndham Rewards filed with the hotel and that the manager of the hotel would be contacting me by the 25th. I have yet to recieve any type of contact from the management of this hotel.
