“Could've been better...”

The only reason why I picked this hotel was because it was closest to a friend of mine that I was visiting in Chelsea. The room itself was very nice and the layout looked much better in person than in the picture. The only complaint I would have about the room is the shower, which took about 15-20 minutes to get the hot water going. Other than that, I was satisfied with the room. The service, however, was left much to be desired. I don't travel nowhere near often enough to be quite familiar with how everything works with hotels, but at the very least it shouldn't be rocket science. My three biggest complaints were housekeeping, the front desk staff, and the room service (or lack thereof). During my entire day stay I had no idea when housekeeping would arrive so I went out for breakfast and lunch. I had come back up once in between to use the bathroom. Housekeeping knocked on the door and asked if I needed service (vaguely, since it was obvious that English was not their first language). I told them "Si, por favor. I am just leaving now". No more than 15 seconds passed since I spoke with them and they already going to the next room. I come back an hour and a half later to see that they had not even backtracked to my room. At that point I had been out for most of the day and wanted to relax before I went out that night. I made sure they didn't skip me again by having the door wide open so I can keep an eye out and had to wait the second they came by to leave the room before they assumed I did not service again. Needless to say, I was not happy with the chase. The 4 people I spoke to at the front desk had horrible bedside manner except for the assistant manager, who was relatively cordial checking me in. I had called the front desk to ask quick questions regarding visitors, room service, and transportation (I had happen to be leaving on the day that Boston shut down all transportation both ways to catch the Boston Marathon bombing suspect). The overall I was getting from them was if I had inconvenienced them by my innocuous questions, especially about transportation on that Friday ("Yes, sir. Turn on your TV. It's all over the news." *dial tone*). I had to find out as I was checking out whether or not the hotel shuttle was still running to the airport since I was hoping to get someone else to talk to. Room service was non-existent. The phone number listed in the Wyndham info binder and speed dial seemed as if they connected to nothing.
