First impression when checking in was the 15 minute wait to do so because there wasn't enough staff to handle the people waiting. It was 5:15pm, well within the typical 3hr rush that is check in time on a Friday afternoon/evening.As soon as we get to our room I try to let family know that we have arrived safe and sound. For some reason I can not call out long distance with the use of a calling card. Try 3 times at 20 rings a piece to get the front desk on the line to ask about the issue. Finally on the 4th try, front desk tells me that they don't have an answer, use the lobby phone. So for the entire weekend I and my daughter are forced to use an open lobby to make personal calls.Prior to turning in for the night I make another 4 calls to the front desk to finally reach someone in order to set a wake up call for 6:30am the following morning. Imagine how happy I was to roll over and look at the clock to find it reading 7:42am. I am over an hour behind schedule in getting my daughter and myself ready for her sacrament of reconciliation service at her church. When I tell the front desk the response I get is "Not sure how that happened, do you want up at the same time tomorrow morning?". No "sorry about that", or anything of that nature. My daughter and I eat at the Perkins attached to the hotel on Friday night and after a less than stellar experience, i receive my typical Niagara Falls over priced bill and decide to use the charge to the room option. Imagine my surprise when I review the bill slid under my door to find that the hotel added two separate fees for doing so. Yet there was no mention of it on the bill I got at the restaurant or from the waitress.I will never stay at this establishment again and neither will anyone that I talk to. As far as I am concerned this hotel bought themselves about 40 thousand dollars worth of bad advertising.
