“Company meetings 10/21/13 to 10/24/13”

It's a pity I have to submit a negative review because I am from PR and this hotel has so much potential. But frankly, the furnishings in the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Curtains, lamps and headboards had mold, walls had paint bubbles with humidity, room floor was always damp and slippery, I could never walk barefoot inside the room. The only area that met my expectations was the bathroom in the guest room. As for room service, it was delivered timely, however, the only consumable item was the coffee, pancakes were awful, simply uneatable (1 raw, 1 burnt). I encountered several problems during my stay, for one, the privacy curtain did not cover the glass doors entirely, leaving about 2 feet exposed, it took almost an hour to get to a "makeshift" resolution, one the 3rd night the room lock broke down which took another 45 mins to get fixed and multiple trips up/down 4 flights of stairs with my laptop and other bags because YES, the hotel layout has rooms arranged in a way that you MUST use stairs ALWAYS to go back and forth to your room, NO ELEVATORS even when you are hauling luggage up/down. As if that wasn't enough, there seems to be a very limited availability of bell staff to help guests checking in/out, I requested bell staff and was told they come in as of 11:00 AM. As is, the hotel is not apt to support formal business meetings, the public restrooms were not tidy or kept with basic supplies such as bath tissue and some stalls had leaking toilets. The conference rooms need TLC as well, the entire back wall of one of the rooms we were using had no power, the plugs were there but they did not have any power, the staff had to provide a 75 ft extension cord to give power to my computer (only 1 plug so, 1 at a time). Additionally, we encountered multiple connectivity issues, which delayed out meetings for over 1 hr. The resolution was to give the presenter a physical LAN cable to keep his laptop connected so we could have WebEx and Video Conferencing. However, this meant shutting down the wireless for the others in the room so, connectivity was a serious issue during our meetings. The surroundings of where this hotel is located are really nice and it is considered prime real estate, however, the facilities and staffing level really need to be whipped into shape. Without visible changes, I would not consider this hotel for a business meeting -or personal stay for that matter- in the future. Very disappointing! SORRY! :(
