FIRST THING! "Free internet" does not mean free WiFi. The hotel only has WiFi in the lobby. If you want your free internet you have to bring your laptop and an ethernet cord. Just putting that out there.My husband and I were really excited to stay at this hotel for our honeymoon, since it had good reviews on However our experience had much to be desired. Our first night was miserable; we heard crying babies and screaming kids all night, but the worst was the yappy dogs in the hotel room across the hall. We called the front desk and complained, they said, "Oh that building does not allow dogs at all, I will send security right up and have them removed." That never happened. The next morning we asked to be switched to a new room (we also found bloodstains on three different pieces of fabric in the room, we were just grossed out) and we were moved to a wonderful (quiet!) room in the main building. (P.S. Staying in the main resort building feels like you are staying at a whole different hotel...SO much nicer than the other buildings.) Unfortunately, the next morning we went out to breakfast, went to pay the bill, and our debit card was declined. The hotel had drained our checking account. Scary, embarrassing, and frustrating. It turned out that they had placed a hold on our account for the entire price of the stay (despite the fact that we had already 100% paid already) plus $50 per night. Had we been told of these charges when we checked in or had we been told that if we cancelled our credit card purchase of the stay and paid with cash, those holds would not have been taken, it would have been okay. But we were never told. We were rattled, mad, and exhausted from being up all night to yappy dogs.Positives: the food was great, the pools were wonderful (and seemed to be empty in the evenings, of course we went the first week of August), and the view from our window over the front of the resort was great.Would we go back? Nope.
