“El Paso Wyndham”

The housekeeping staff was wonderful... The bar/service and the hotel manager (Alex) were the worst I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER stay at that hotel again and I will consider staying at another hotel before going back to Wyndham. This place made you feel like it didn't matter that you were the customer. I witnessed one customer, who could not find their room, get told by the front desk to "Just keep walking, you will find it".. this same customer had walked through 3 of the 4 buildings of the hotel. As for my personal experience, I had two rooms booked and confirmed as "King Suites", when I got there, I was given two suites with double (not queen) beds in them. I asked "Alex" about this and he said, "Sorry sir, we ran out of King rooms, someone should have explained this to you". He gave me two drink tickets to the hotel lounge... which when my son and I went to use, we were told they could not be used because it was after 10 PM... again never explained and the tickets were tossed out... (I was to tired to argue with Alex). Then the most important crappy thing that happened was on our last day with our son (who was deploying the next morning), we were down by the pool, when we got back to our room, it smelled foul. We called the front desk (and eventually spoke to "Alex" again) who told me that there was a drain problem on floors 3 and 4 and the smell should not have gone into our room. In short our room was no longer habitable, so I had to spend over an hour in my stinky room, packing our belongings (taking away time that could have been spent with my son), then moving to another room. I told Alex that I should have been compensated for my time because it was the hotel's fault that I had to move out of my room. He simply said, "That's not the way this works, I put you in a different room. Do you want the bellman to help you?"I was disgusted with Alex's demeaning attitude and the lack of customer service that was given. I am considering writing an article for publication about the lack of customer service given by the staff of this hotel.
