“worst Wundam experience ever”

We checked in the room and where told the hotel was being updated. No vending machines or ice on the floors. We had to go to the bar to PURCHASE ice if required. We did not reall miss that. Our room smelled dusty. We seriousy fluffed the pillows and dust couds resullted. We talked to the front desk the fist morning after waking up to severe allergy issues. The free breakfast took some doing to prove we were entitled to the promised amenity the fruit bar was sparce and we gave up after asking numerous times to have the fruit replenished. We could not order an omelette as the cook did not speak english well enough to take our order. The second night the room was not cleaned just straightened up. That would have been fine if the room woudnot have been so dusty. The second complaint about the pilows did not get any results. We did not try the breakfast day 2 as it was a waste of time. At check out we tried to discus the issues as this was not resolved at all during the visit. We were told AGAIN that the hotel was under renovation. The desk clerks were very friendly but this was getting to be the routine excuse. We also had a problem with noisey kids several rooms down. Their parents were enoying their beverages all over the hotel and nt attending to the loud children at any time. Again, the desk clerk was not able to help. The overwhelming smell of chlorine in the lobby was not a good greeting. I was surprised at a Wyndam hotel to have so many issues and lack of assistance to get resolve.I did not plan on returning or discussing the issue further as I have learned there will not be any change. Only the request for a review email prompted this response. It was a total rip off and I will not return to the same Wyndam again.
